Hand Carved Snake Chillum

Chillums are a form of traditional smoking pipe that has been around for centuries at least. They are typically made from clay or stone, however, wooden chillums are also very popular for their intricately carved designs and lightweight feel. 

How do you use a wooden chillum?

Chillum pipes may look confusing for those used to joints, pipes, or bongs, but they're really straightforward use.

1. First, ensure the stopper is place inside the wid end of the Chillum pipe, then pack it with your product.
2. Keep your chillum at an upright/45° angle, place a safi/saafi (filter made from dampened cotton cloth) over the mouthpiece (bottom), and then light up your herb/tobacco.
3. Place your packed chillum between your ring finger and pinky finger, and cup your hand over the mouthpiece end, holding the safi in place.
4. Inhale while keeping the chilum at a 45° angle to get the best airflow & result.

How do you clean a wooden chillum?

1. After each use, let the chillum cool down slightly before turning it upside down and tapping out the used product.
2. Use a stick to remove ash if needed, and discard the used safi filter. 
3. Make sure to dry your wooden chillum properly if you need to use water to clean it out.
